HERTSMERE BOROUGH WATCH
Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) is one of the biggest and most successful crime prevention initiatives ever. Behind it lies a simple idea and a central value shared by millions of people around the country. Getting together with your neighbours to take action can cut local crime and create better communities. Everyone knows that the police are there to fight crime, but they need your help to do an effective job. You can help cut crime and the opportunities for crime. You can help to reassure those who live in fear of crime. Neighbourhood Watch is about working with our partner organisations to reduce all types of crime and to make Hertsmere an even better place to both live and work in.
Richard Jarvis is the District Co-ordinator of Hertsmere Borough Neighbourhood Watch and Chairman of Hertsmere Borough Watch. Richard started as a street Co-ordinator in 2006, became Deputy District Co-ordinator of Hertsmere Borough Neighbourhood Watch in 2010 and District Co-ordinator in 2015. Richard offers a variety of services free to Neighbourhood Watch members and local authorities. All the work Richard has done to date has been voluntary, he does not get any salary from it and gives his time generously for free. Richard wants Hertsmere to be as safe as possible for the residents and their families to live in and is our go to man for crime prevention and security equipment.
All security equipment is offered at wholesale prices plus a very small mark up, in order to help finance the hire of rooms for meetings, leaflets, stationery, etc. No commission whatsoever is paid by any Company to any person and the small profit received is used by and for the benefit of Neighbourhood Watch throughout Hertsmere.
